Leaves on Water. Haikus.
Leaves on the water float like petals down the stream. They soon reach my feet. I lift them gently off the surface of the stream. They're from maples. Drops fall from them like diamonds, nay, like tears from some mourning fairy lass. But the sunlight shines so cheerfully and brightly on the tears and laughs. For how can nature cry at its own beauty and still be so lovely? Letting it fall back to the stream, I watch maples flourish in the wind. They caress the air.
